Alex W. Washington, Sr. was born on February 24, 1964, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Alex received his early education in the Harford County Public School System and graduated from Harford Vocational Technical High School in 1982. During his high school career, he played basketball, football and was a member of the 1982 yearbook committee. He was previously married and from this union, three children were born. Alex developed and maintained lifelong friendships. During their early teenage years, Sheldon Miller and Alex formed a strong brotherhood which continued until his untimely departure.

Alex accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. His Christian experience began at Community Baptist Church in Joppa Maryland. He later attended Aberdeen Bible Church, Ekklesia Community Ministries, and several other churches where the Word of God was rightly divided in Truth and with accuracy.

Alex has been a car and motorcycle enthusiast since his teenage years. His latest acquisition was a white Lexus SC 430. He enjoyed riding around with the top down this summer.

In 2012 Alex founded Hot Tub Service Maryland where he was the owner and master technician until November 21, 2021.

Alex leaves to forever cherish his memory; his beloved twin sons, Nicholas and Austin; Four sisters, Carla Jones (Enrico), Arletha Candy Myers, Yolanda Dockery (William), Ricki Ford; Four brothers, Daniel Giles (Beverly), Earl Hamlet (Helen), Allen Giles, Jerry Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his biological mother Mary Washington, parents John and Ellen Hamlet, sister Debra Washington, brother Samuel Johnson, and infant son Alex Washington. Jr.
