Gerald E. Hanneman, 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away on November 23, 2021, at his home.

A funeral service for Gerald will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2021 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.  Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home until the time of services.

Jerry was born on March 7, 1935, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Ervin and Gertrude (Pruess) Hanneman.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952.  He served his country from 1958-1960 in the United States Army at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia.  He married Carolyn Weigel on January 3, 1959 and that marriage ended in divorce.  He then married Julene Krueger on December 23, 1976. He worked as a production worker at Consolidated Papers for 40 years, retiring in 1994. Jerry enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado and deer hunting on his land in Adams County. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida and summers up north fishing. In his younger years he played softball and was very good at shooting pool and golfing.  Jerry was also an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children: Douglas (Kristi) Hanneman, Gary (Sue) Hanneman, Todd (Cherie) Hanneman, and step-son Rick (Lisa) Krueger; and grandchildren: Holly, Kaitlyn, Justin, Jennifer (Clay) Rasmussen, Ellen, Charlotte, Zachery, and Matthew, as well as special friend Adrienne Kingery.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Julie, parents, and sister Natalie Hanneman.
