Obituary
James W. Rowe, Sr. Pelham, NH – James W. Rowe, Sr., 82 formerly of Pelham died Tuesday November 23, 2021 at his home. He was born in Boston, MA September 23, 1939 the son of Clarence and Mary (Connelly) Rowe. Jim attended Austin-Cate Academy and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Marines. He graduated from Golden Gate University and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a received a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Anselm College. Jim began his career in law enforcement in 1963 as a police officer for the City of Dover retiring in 1982 as a Captain. Following this he became the Chief of Police for UMass Lowell from 1983 until 2001. Upon retirement, he taught criminal justice at Concord Technical School for several years. Members of his family include his wife of 57 years, Patricia (Watkins) Rowe of Pelham; three sons James W. Rowe, Jr. and his wife Beth of Kensington, Paul Rowe and his wife Wendy of East Wakefield and Justin Rowe and his wife Cassie of Silver Lake; 6 grandchildren Brittany Ramsey, Kayla April, Eavan Rowe, Kelsey Rowe, Olivia Scribner and Eilee Rowe; two great grandchildren Rowe Ramsey and Kinsley Noyes; his brother Stephen Rowe and his wife Dottie of Winston-Salem, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin sisters Patricia Sabbatis and Loretta Polchies. Visiting hours will be Monday November 29, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday November 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Parish of the Assumption St. Joseph Church 150 Central Ave., Dover.
