Dereck Dane Chandler Sr, resident of Anchorage AK, passed away November 14, 2021 at Regional Hospital. Mr. Chandler was born July 18, 1955 in Oyster Bay, NY. He was a dedicated loving man that exuded strength for his children and devoted love to his wife Maureen Ann Chandler where he lived happily married. He came to Anchorage Ak in 1973 where he serviced 4 years in the Military. From there he joined the US Postal Office and worked dedicatedly for 40 years and retired at the age of 59. He enjoyed life, spending time with his friends and family, & the life he worked hard for. He was a man of wisdom and gave unconditional love for those who were in his life. A man of faith as God was the center of his marriage and family. He is survived by his children Shaquan, Chavonne, Dereck Jr and Marcus. His wife Maureen & step daughter Althea. His mother Mary, siblings Hicksey, Brenda, Charlotte, Mark, Drew & Eric. His legacy was of high importance to him, preparing & ambitious to install those foundations into his family. He will forever be remembered as a great man, a devoted father, husband, & a strong soul. May he rest in paradise...
