Farrell Walker Casey Obituary

     Farrell Walker Casey, age 83, departed his earthly life Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach.

     He was born October 6, 1938 in Dudley, NC to Edgar Robert Casey, Jr. and Julia Mae Potts Casey. In addition to his parents Farrell was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Stephens Casey; and his brother, Robert Casey III.

     Farrell is survived by his stepchildren, Dianna Gooch and Joseph Gooch (Elizabeth); foster daughter, Camilla Slocum (Marvin); sister, Nancy Isabella Hough (Michael); sister-in-law, Peggy Casey; brother, Ledell Casey (LaVonne); nieces and nephews, Michelle McCaleb, Mia Price, Jo Anne Casey-Summers, Barbara Medlin, Casey Hough, and a very special nephew, Bill Casey, who in the past few years has made many trips to Longs, SC to care for Farrell; and several great nieces and great nephews.

     He served his country proudly and with commitment in the US Army, serving a tour of duty in Germany. After his military stint Farrell remained a true patriot to our country. Farrell was a member of Grand Strand Lodge No. 392 A.F. & A.M. in North Myrtle Beach, SC and Omar Shriners in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

     Farrell was a man of honor and integrity; his word was his bond. His life on earth was well lived.

     Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Pastor Anthony McCaleb conducting the service. Burial will follow in Burgaw Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Bill Casey, Mike Hough, Pete Summers, Judah Summers, Casey Hough, Joshua McCaleb, David McCaleb, and Sam Price.

     The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the committal service.

     In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to King Solomon No. 138 A.F. & A.M., PO Box 305, Burgaw, NC or to Pender County Shrine Club for Shriners Hospital for Children, PO Box 82, Rocky Point, NC 28457.
