Jada Lynn Byrd

Jada Lynn Byrd was born to the union of the late Wellmond and Rosetta Arcenaux on November 12, 1972. She departed her earthly vessel and entered eternal rest on November 17, 2021. Jada was baptized at Free Mission Missionary Baptist Church. She is a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls Senior High School. Jada Lynn was an avid reader. The joy of her world centered around her son who she affectionately called “PUNKIN.” She would always say, “should anything ever happen to me, tell my son, I love him.”  As a child, She, sang in the youth choir and served as an usher. She was an active student and member of the majorette squad, where she proudly led as the captain. Jada expressed a love for fashion, makeup, and cosmetology. As such, she enrolled in Stevenson’s School of Cosmetology where she graduated in the top of her class as a licensed cosmetologist. She was described as a master of her trade. Immediately after graduation, Jada was recruited to work in premier salons around the city. She relocated to South Carolina and worked briefly in Atlanta, GA as a hairstylist for Luster and Bonner Bros. Following this period, our dearly beloved, settled in Woodbridge, VA hosting hair shows and working as a premier stylist. Jada met and married David Byrd. They shared an affluent life of love and laughter until his untimely death.   Our beloved was preceded in death by her father, Wellmond Arcenaux; brother Alex Arcenaux and husband, David Byrd. She leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Jaden Donald Youngblood; dearly loved mother, Rosetta Arcenaux., a devoted friend, Donald Youngblood. Siblings: Calvin (Tina) Arcenaux of Cordova, TN; Lois (Freddie) Foster; Michael (Jean) Arcenaux; Lisa (Jerry) Cobb of Pearland, Texas; Vonda (Anthony) Taplin; Jeffery (Meshawn) Arcenaux; Toya (Kevin) Samuels and Sylvia Arcenaux. Also cherishing her memory will be a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
