THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF JOANNE UBALDI Milford – Joanne (DeRienzo) Ubaldi, age 83, of Milford, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2021, at the UCONN Health Center, surrounded by her family. Born on July 21, 1938 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late James DeRienzo and Winifred (Panasci) DeRienzo. She was a graduate of Crosby High School, class of 1956. In addition to raising a family, Joanne worked for many years in payroll for Timex and Boehringer Ingelheim.. Prior to retiring, she also worked for several years with her great friends at Carriage Limousine. Joanne was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, the late Charles F. Ubaldi. She is survived by her three sons, Charles Ubaldi (Janet) of West Haven, Christopher Ubaldi (Susan) of Middlebury and Marc Ubaldi (Kerri) of Milford. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Andrew Ubaldi (Sarah), Bailey Zurita (Kevin), Roma Ubaldi and Luca Ubaldi. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Mary Ann VanDereedt, two brothers, Vincent DeRienzo and Louis DeRienzo, as well as several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her great grand dog Gimli, and her grand dogs Prince and her beloved Roxy, the latter two of which were the exclusive clientele of her post-retirement doggie daycare. There is no doubt that the greatest joy in her life was the time she spent with her grandchildren. Joanne will also be remembered for long Sunday dinners and the holidays, when her house would be packed with family, friends and way too much food.
