B.J. "Sonny" Massey

B.J. “Sonny” Massey, 81, of Senatobia, MS passed away November 24, 2021 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Joann Massey of Senatobia; daughters, Gretchen Massey of Senatobia, Mary Black (Wes) of IL and Stacie Womack (Mike) of NJ; nephew and close friend, Eddie Holliday of Senatobia; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Gavin Scott Massey; mother, Edith Massey Phillips; father, Jim Massey; sister, Patsy Massey Holliday and brothers, Bobby Massey and Charles Massey. Sonny was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed anything outdoors such as working in the yard and garden, and he also loved cooking on the grill when he was able to. Sonny loved his family and friends and will be missed by many. Memorials may be sent to Ebenezer Baptist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
