Dolores Dene Chorniak Nielsen Rhone Nelson passed away peacefully, at home, on November 19, 2021 due to complications of dementia and old age.  She was born on October 9, 1938 in Pleasant Grove, UT and was the second of eight children born to Joseph Thomas and June Beers Chorniak.

On April 27, 1956 she married O’Dell Leroy Nielsen and together they had three children:  Kim Gaisford, Robyn Nielsen, and Kevin Nielsen.  O’Dell passed away January 28, 1964 in a trucking accident.   Dolores remarried to Wilson “Skipper” Rhone, and they were later divorced.  Then she married Daniel Lewis Nelson and added three step-children to her family: Darrell (Tami) Nelson, Dana (Jess) Graham, and Bart (Christine) Nelson.  In 2013 Dolores was widowed for the second time when Dan passed away.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, her daughter Robyn, and her brother Dennis.  She is survived by her daughter Kim Gaisford, and son Kevin Nielsen; her step-children Darrell Nelson, Dana Graham, and Bart Nelson; 6 siblings: JoAnn Kenaston, Kenneth Chorniak, Thomas Chorniak, Julie Johnson, Jeanne McFadden, and Jann Olson; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many others who loved her.

A special thank you to Hearts for Hospice for their loving care in her final days.
