Donna Jean Owens, 87<br><br>EAST PALESTINE - Donna Jean Owens, passed away Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021, at Covington Skilled Nursing in East Palestine following a lengthy illness. She was 87.<br><br>Born in Flint, Michigan, October 2, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Elvin and Elizabeth Harvey Smith. A resident of Michigan most of her life, she graduated from Mott High School in 1952 and worked as a secretary at the Chevrolet plant in Flint.<br><br>She is survived by her husband, Donald Brice Owens, as well as two sons, Dr. Scott Owens and his wife, Clare, of Columbiana, and Mark Owens and his wife, Angie, of Wappingers Falls, New York, along with four grandchildren: Heather Bird, Mark Brice Owens, Grant Owens and Lauren Owens.<br><br>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Sue Hasley, a sister, Mary Smith, and a brother, Kenneth Smith.<br><br>Burial will be at Cross Roads Cemetery in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.<br><br>The family wishes to thank the staff at Covington Skilled Nursing and Ohio Living Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they provided.Obituary
