Dean Allen Borntrager 62, of Millersburg, OH died unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1959 to Daniel J. and Esta (Miller) Borntrager. Dean was single and enjoyed raising white-tailed deer. He spent many hours hunting, trapping and fishing. He loved to be in the great outdoors and was at home in nature. Dean was a natural storyteller and regaled his nieces and nephews with his many escapades. He was a member of Gospel Haven Mennonite Church in Benton, OH. He is survived by his mother Esta (Miller) Borntrager and by his siblings, Karen Lou Miller of Walnut Creek, Becky (Joe) Yoder of Kidron, Bruce (Laura) Borntrager of Winesburg, Miriam (Marvin) Wengerd of Walnut Creek, Martha (Linford) Glick of Canon City, Colorado and Ann Elizabeth (Josiah) Schrock of Sugarcreek; his brother-in-law David (special friend Wilma Miller) Yoder of Winesburg; and 33 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel J. Borntrager and his sister Rosanna Yoder. Funeral services will be held at the Gospel Haven Mennonite Church, 6871 SR 241, Millersburg, on Sunday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Gospel Haven Mennonite Church on Saturday, November 27, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Miller Funeral Care – Walnut Creek, OH 330-893-2273.
