Gloria "Chippie" Smith Peterson

Mrs. Gloria Ann "Chippie" Smith Peterson, age 75, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence in Pollock. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Peterson will be held at the Sanctuary of Praise in Pineville, on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Roberts and Pastor Kimsey officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The interment will follow the service in Circle P Cemetery in Pollock.

Mrs. Gloria "Chippie" Peterson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved God, her church, and her family and friends. She never gave up on her family and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Lavelle "Sam" Smith; mother, Evie Mae Coleman Smith; brother, Milton Lavelle Smith; and granddaughter, Michaela Angelique Lewis

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 57 years, Jesse Nolan "Butch" Peterson Jr.; son Jesse Nolan Peterson III of Pollock, LA; daughter Lynae Peterson Lewis, husband Mike Lewis of Pineville, LA; adopted children: Kyla Jo Peterson of Tucson, AZ Brett Newell Peterson, wife Julie of Minot, North Dakota; 5 grandchildren: Noel Clark (Mitchell), Gage Peterson (Tiffany), MacKinnly Lewis, Chandler Lewis, Brayden Peterson; 2 great grandchildren: Bayleigh Peterson, Jaxton Clark; sisters: Lucille McCullough (Ted) of Ball, LA and Edwina Roberts (David) of Pineville LA ; brother: Jerry Smith of Dry Prong LA.

Pallbearers honored to serve are MacKinnly Lewis, Chandler Lewis, Mitchell Clark, Gage Peterson, Deontrey Means, and Jude Hale.
