Willie Washington passed away on November 22, 2021 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Washington; brothers, George, Henry, Burnell Washington, and Joe Louis Thrasher; sisters, Annie Bell and Martha. He leaves to cherish his memories of 55 years his loving wife, Barbara Washington his son Ahmad Washington Sr. (Shirley) two grandsons Ahmad Washington, Jr. (Ashley) Raheem Washington Sr. (Jessica) one granddaughter Kristian Jackson (Wayne Jr.) 10 great grandkids Michael, Raheem Jr., Ahmad, III, Mecca, Ava, Hayleigh and Aspen Washington; Wayne, III, Kayleigh and Liam Jackson; sister, Rosie Washington; and a host of nieces nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will begin 11:00 am on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie, LA. 70001. Services begins at 11:00 am Rev. Richmond Edwards, Jr. will be officiating. Due to COVID all attendees are required to wear face mask.
