Isabel Salas
Isabel Salas Delgado, 91 años, falleció noviembre 24, 2021. Isabel nació octubre 10 del 1930 en Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. Fue la undécima hija de los 12 hijos que tuvieron sus padres, Mateo Delgado Beltrán y Marcolina Ayala. En 1950, emigró a la ciudad de New York, donde conoció a su futuro esposo, Miguel Salas, en una conferencia de jóvenes cristianos. Queriendo intensificar su relación con su salvador, Jesucristo, atendió el Instituto Bíblico de la Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Latino Americano, La Sinagoga. En dicha iglesia se casó con Miguel Salas en 1954. Allí ella era miembro del coro de la iglesia conocido cómo Ecos de Vida donde su esposo también sirvió como el primer copastor de la iglesia. Ambos teniendo deseos de ser empresarios abrieron su primer negocio de boutique de vestidos personalizados en 1962. Vivieron en el Bronx en la avenida Belmont donde abrieron un negocio de mudanza. Teniendo un llamado de Dios en su vida, ella y su esposo, se mudaron a la ciudad de Elizabeth, New Jersey en 1971 donde levantaron su primera obra Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional. En 1977, siguiendo el llamado de Dios en su vida se mudaron para la ciudad de Tampa, Florida donde fundaron otra Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional y varias obras alrededor de la bahía de Tampa. Ambos todavía con la capacidad de ser empresarios, fueron dueños de dos camiones de helados con los cuales ella con mucho gusto servía a la comunidad de Tampa aprovechando su tiempo durante la venta de helados para comunicar el Evangelio de Jesucristo a sus clientes. Durante los años del 1983 hasta el 1991 siguieron su trayectoria pastoral en la ciudad de Santurce, Puerto Rico dónde fueron pastores de otra obra de Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional. En esta misma ciudad abrieron su primer librería cristiana llamada Bethesda. Luego se mudaron a la ciudad natal de Isabel Salas Delgado donde pastorearon otra iglesia de dicho concilio al cual pertenecieron por muchos años. En su resumen ministerial hermana Isabel Salas Delgado fue misionera, pastora asociada, capellán, maestra. Fue autora y directora de varios dramas realizados en las distintas iglesias en Puerto Rico y los Estados Unidos. Tuvo 5 hijos con Miguel Salas que son: Onnelly Salas-Mansker (Texas), Debbie Salas-Lopez (New York/Connecticut), Miguel Salas Jr. (Florida), Alvin Salas (New Jersey), y Elvia Liz Salas (New Jersey). Diez nietos: Margarita Ganey (Louisiana), Kristina Lopez Adduci (New York/Connecticut), Frances Rivera (Florida), Michael J. Salas (Florida), Leigh Kwasny (New York), Daniel J. Salas (Virginia), Michael W. Mansker (Texas), Anthony Salas (New Jersey), David J. Salas (Florida), y Sarah Mansker (Texas). y 7 bisnietos Rescato y fue madre adoptiva de Willie Mora y cinco hijos más el cual incluyen: Maria Cardona, Edwin Ramos, Saul Ramos, Jeanette Calderon, y Nancy Valentin. ________________________________________________ Isabel Salas Delgado, age 91, passed away on November 24, 2021. Isabel was born October 10, 1930 in Las Piedras Puerto Rico. She was the eleventh daughter of 12 children born to her parents, Mateo Delgado Beltrán and Marcolina Ayala. In 1950, she emigrated to New York City, where she later met her future husband, Miguel Salas, at a Christian youth conference. Wanting to intensify her relationship with her savior Jesus Christ, she attended the Biblical Institute of the Latin American Pentecostal Church of God, La Sinagoga. In said church, she married Miguel Salas in 1954. There, she was a member of the church choir known as Ecos de Vida. Her husband also served as the church's first co-pastor. Both wishing to be entrepreneurs, they opened their first custom dress boutique business in 1962. They lived in the Bronx on Belmont Ave. where they opened a moving company. Having a call from God in her life, she and her husband moved to the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1971 where they built their first church, Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional. In 1977, following the call of God in her life, they moved to the city of Tampa, Florida where they founded another Pentecostal Church of God International Movement and several churches around the Tampa Bay Area. Both still with the desire to be entrepreneurs, they owned two ice cream trucks in which she gladly served the community of Tampa, taking advantage of her time during the ice cream sales to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to her customers. During the years 1983 to 1991, they continued their pastoral career in the city of Santurce Puerto Rico where they were pastors of another church of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional. In this same city they opened their first Christian bookstore called Bethesda. Then they moved to the hometown of Isabel Salas Delgado where they pastored another church of that council to which they belonged to for many years. In her ministerial summary, sister Isabel Salas Delgado was a missionary, associate pastor, chaplain, and teacher. Isabel also authored and directed several dramas that were performed in various churches throughout Puerto Rico and the United States. She had 5 children with Miguel Salas: Onnelly Salas-Mansker (Texas), Debbie Salas-Lopez (New York/Connecticut), Miguel Salas Jr. (Florida), Alvin Salas (New Jersey), and Elvia Liz Salas (New Jersey). She had 10 grandchildren: Margarita Ganey (Louisiana), Kristina Lopez Adduci (New York/Connecticut), Frances Rivera (Florida), Michael J. Salas (Florida), Leigh Kwasny (New York), Daniel J. Salas (Virginia), Michael W. Mansker (Texas), Anthony Salas (New Jersey), David J. Salas (Florida), y Sarah Mansker (Texas). She also had 7 great grandchildren.
