Ianni, Angela: Passed away at Hospice Waterloo Region on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in her 95th year. Angela and her family immigrated to Canada from Catanzaro, Italy. in December of 1959. She was the beloved wife of the late Ottorino Ianni (1990). Dear mother of Carmela Garasto and her late husband Gaetano (2016) of Waterloo, Oswald Ianni (Christiane) of Sarnia, Sergio Ianni (Monika) of Kitchener and Maurizio Ianni (Sharon) of Kitchener. Mother-in-law to Irene Ianni (Late Tony, 2001) of Kitchener. Angela is survived by her sister Rosa Trovato (Ciccio) of Italy. Nonna to Anna Lina, Lidia (Terry), Patrick (Emily), Cathy, Angie (Christopher), Corey, Andrea (Paul), Tina (Larry), Sonya (Mike), Justin (Emily), Erik (Angela), Nicholas and Richard, great grand-mother to 15 and great great grandmother to 1. Angela will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy and here in Canada. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Antonia, son Antonio Ianni, and her son-in-law Gaetano Garasto. We are so very blessed to have had her in our lives for a long time. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She always made our favourite foods, sent care packages, worried for all her family and kept the family traditions alive. Not a week went by without calling her grandchildren. Heaven has truly gained another angel. Angela's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church (49 Blueridge Ave, Kitchener) on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11 AM. Please note, guests who wish to attend the visitation and service must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Make-A- Wish Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
