Isabell Joan "Izzy, Red" Ringle, age 92, of Holt, formerly of St. Louis passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Prestige Way Assisted Living. She was born October 11, 1929 in Alma, the daughter of George and Freda (Terwilliger) Thompson. Izzy was a 1947 graduate of Alma High School and on May 16, 1954 she married Raymond Ringle at the Alma United Methodist Church. Izzy worked as the Produce Manager at the St. Louis IGA for over 20 years, before her retirement. She enjoyed playing BINGO and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Pistons fan. She always looked forward to spending time with her family and especially enjoyed baking cookies and cooking for holidays and celebrations. She loved attending her children and grandchildren's events to show her love and support. Isabell is survived by her children, Rick (Alane) Ringle, Linda Ringle; two grandchildren, Ryan (Adva) Ringle, Toni Richmond; great-grandson, Chase Richmond; a brother, Jack (Wanda) Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Freda Thompson; her husband, Raymond in 2005; and her siblings, Eleanor McCreery, Floyd Thompson and Bonnie Saunders. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 1 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma with visitation to begin at 12 pm, until the time of services. Interment will follow in North Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tri County Office on Aging.
