<p>Briana Nichole Salena McLilly, 41 of Leavenworth, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at St. John Hospital. She was born July 13, 1980, in Fort Carson, Colo., the daughter of Curtis and Carmen (Green) McLilly. </p><p><br></p><p>Briana graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1998. She received a bachelor’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Emporia State University. In 2021, she received a master’s degree in history at Emporia State University and was working towards a PhD in education. She was a teacher with Kansas Connection Academy and taught high school history.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her parents; her children, Jaxon McLilly and Anya McLilly; her brother Curtis Brian Francis McLilly; a niece, Carmen Addison Nichole McLilly; four nephews, Korbin Raby, Kaden McLilly, Killian Brian McLilly and Kieran Jesse McLilly; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Briana was preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother, Brandon McLilly.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov 29, 2021, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.</p>Obituary
