Donald Eugene Burgess

Donald Eugene Burgess, 78, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will 11:00AM Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Souder Family Funeral Home with a visitation from 10-11 AM. Burial with full military honors will be in Barry Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial Contributions are suggested to the Gashland Baptist Church benevolence fund. Donald was a United States Army veteran serving from 1959 to 1962 and then again from 1964 to 1967. Following his military service he worked at the Ford Motor Company for 22 years. But the most important thing to Donald was his family. Donald is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Libby) Burgess; his children, Paul Burgess, Donald E. Burgess and wife Sanja, Elizabeth Louise Burgess and Phaedra Burgess; and 8 grandchildren. Please help celebrate the life of Donald by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.
