DIEHM, CAROLE age 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away November 21. She was born December 16, 1934 in Hastings, the daughter of Murl and Juanita (Marlow) Fawley. Carole attended normal school where she earned her teaching credentials and Grand Valley State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. During her career, she worked as an elementary and community education teacher. Carole loved her family above all else. Surviving are her children Celeste Diehm, Jessica Plouff (Nathan) and John Diehm, all of Grand Rapids, and one grandchild Samuel Plouff. Carole believed in life after death, and that she would have a place in heaven with those who went before her, including her parents, her Uncle Ernie, Dick, her daughter Jennifer, her grandparents Elmer and Celestia Marlow, and her Grandma and Grandpa Fawley. Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, November 24 at 1:00 pm at the Clarksville Cemetery (corner of Nash Highway and Peddler Lake Road, Clarksville, MI).
