Maryann F. Pedersen Obituary

Maryann Florence Pedersen, 78, of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the family she loved so dearly on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Maryann was a force of love, kindness, compassion, and empathy to all she knew. She was born on September 10, 1943 in Philadelphia, the eighth child of Walter and Josephine Franks. Maryann and her family moved to Lindenwold, NJ at a young age. After graduating from Overbrook High School in 1961, Maryann pursued a career as a hair stylist before raising her family in Marlton. Maryann thrived on the love of her family. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating amazing meals for her family Sunday dinners, and baking cakes from scratch for the next birthday celebration. She spent her days with her grandchildren sharing her enjoyment for arts and crafts, gardening, sports, and reading. Maryann is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Walter E. Pedersen Jr of Marlton, NJ. Also surviving are her five children: Josephine (Robert) Nowlan of Atco, NJ, Walter Pedersen III of Marlton, NJ, Justin (Barbara) Pedersen of Hammonton, NJ, Daniel (Meryl) Pedersen of Nesquehoning, PA, and Francis (Alisa) Pedersen of Sicklerville, NJ; her eleven grandchildren: Robert, Thomas, Maryann, and Maggie Nowlan; Emily Pedersen; Albert, Dylan, and Ashley Westfall; Marcia, Aurora, and Georgia Pedersen; her brother Paul (Brenda) Franks; and her dog, Molly. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Josephine Franks; her siblings: Patricia Vandergrift, Walter Franks Jr, June Shaw, Joseph Franks, Robert Franks, James Franks, and Stephen Franks; and her first husband Thomas J Cieslik Jr. Friends and family are invited to remember Maryann during a visitation on Friday November 26, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P.
