Cora Mae Plumley
<p> Cora Mae Bennett Plumley, 104, of Hinton passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Main Street Care following a short illness.</p> <p> Born May 26, 1917 at Pluto she was the daughter of the late George Riffer Marinda Jane “Bea” Muncey Bennett. Cora was a homemaker and a member of the Upland Baptist Church. She was an avid reader of the word of God. By the grace of God Cora lived through 19 U.S. Presidents.</p> <p> In addition to her parents Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Plumley; grandson, Steven Plumley; two brothers, Caney and Robert Bennett; four sisters, Rose Persinger, Goldie Ward, Louise Harvey and Pearl Binion.</p> <p> Those left to honor her memory include two sons, Richard Wayne Plumley of Hilldale and Estel Roy Plumley of Covington, VA; three grandsons, Richard Dean Plumley of Hilldale, Michael Kevin Plumley of Hilldale and Barry Allen Plumley of Covington, VA; six great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.</p> <p> Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadows Family Cemetery at Longbottom. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.</p> <p> Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.</p>Obituary
