Joseph Gaile Comeaux

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Our Lady of the Sacred heart Catholic Church for Joseph Gaile Comeaux, 81, who died at 4:47 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Lafayette, LA. Fr. Brian Harrington will celebrate the mass and the burial will follow in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation may be observed Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Monday. Mr. Comeaux was born August 9, 1940 in Church Point, LA to Leo and Olive Thibodeaux Comeaux. He worked for the state highway department as a foreman for most of his life. He is survived by his companion Geraldine Guillory of Basile; 2 daughters, Nancy Comeaux Briscoe and her husband Dale of Church Point and Bridget Comeaux Stepp of Church Point; 3 sisters, Myrtis Thibodeaux Burleigh of Texas, Diane Higginbotham of Church Point and Bonnie Belsome of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Hosea and Emily Briscoe and Brody and Bria Stepp; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
