John Leonard Harrington

John Leonard Harrington, Sr, 64, passed away unexpectantly Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Southaven, MS. He was born in Memphis, TN on January 29, 1957. He attended Whitehaven High School through eleventh grade but left prior to graduation to earn his GED and join the workforce. Over the years, he was employed by various companies including Brooks Oil Company, ADM, and American General Life and Accident insurance. He was a talented musician who played several instruments but will be remembered most for his love of guitar. His children and grandchildren will fondly cherish his memory through the many music videos and messages he sent in recent years. He suffered from both medical and personal issues but had such a tender heart willing to share with those he loved. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Juanita Condrey Joyner; father, Mackey Lewis Harrington, Sr; son, Adam Blake Harrington; and special friend, Jenny Helton. He is survived by his children: Christy (Rodrigo) Sanchez of GA, Lisa (David) Barker of TN, and John (Brittney) Harrington, Jr of AR; former wives: Ginger Harrington of GA and Linda Harrington of MS; grandchildren: Jayden and Layne Barker of TN, Morgan, Christian, Austin, and Jordan Sanchez, Sandro Olivier all of GA; siblings: James (Jan) Harrington of TN, Debora (Tommy Helton) Imhauser of MS, Cynthia (Jimmy) Herman of TN, Mackey (Segrid) Harrington of TN, and Robert Harrington of MS; aunt: Bernita Davidson of TN; special nephew: Chad (Tasha) Goff of MS, and several other extended family including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Celebration of life services will be held, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 2pm at Graceland Christian Church 2126 Stateline Rd E, Southaven, MS 38672. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Memphis Recovery Centers or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his honor. Arrangements under the direction of Nu Way Cremation
