Sherry Lynn Exline

Sherry Lynn Exline, 70, of Lumberport, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her home. She was born September 27, 1951 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Glen R. and Hazel Madeline Moore Hall. <br>She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas C. Exline, whom she married on April 7, 1970. <br>Sherry is also survived by her daughter, Nancy Exline-Webb and her husband, Michael; her son, Thomas Kelly Exline and his girlfriend, Susan Longwell, all of Lumberport; and her granddaughter, whom she adored, Kaitlin M. Exline, of Beverly. Also surviving are her sister, Brenda S. Hall of Bridgeport; brother-in-law, Mike Exline and his wife, Carolyn of Lumberport; and her sister-in-law, Mary Beverly and her husband, Charles “Pete” also of Lumberport; as well as several nieces and nephews. <br>In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Owen E. and Waneda Exline; and her sister-in-law, Imajean McIntire and her husband Ronnie. <br>She was a member of the Hepzibah Baptist Church and the Lumberport Lions Club. She was president of the Lumberport Senior Citizens and served as Liaison for the Harrison County Senior Citizen Centers. She was also a member of the Rebekahs Lodge of Wallace. <br>Sherry was active in the Town of Lumberport where she formerly served as Mayor and Recorder. She also served her community as a member of the Harrison County Emergency Squad. For many years, she operated Sherry’s Beauty Shop and was an instructor at the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. <br>The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Sunday from 2-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 22, at 11:00 am with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Interment will follow at the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery.
