Tien Van Lê, 71, of Canton, OH formerly of Millersburg, died tragically on Monday morning November 15th, 2021 in a fatal car collision. He was born on February 10th, 1950 in North Vietnam and moved to Saigon with his family as a young child. He was the son of Thuong Van Lê and Lan Thi Phạm.

            Tien served alongside the U.S. Military in the Vietnam War in the Navy. He immigrated to the United States following the war. Upon his arrival in the US, he was welcomed into the family of Ward and Peggy Hildreth of Richmond, Virginia, who treated him as one of their own children. He was known for his devotion and love toward his family. He was the hardest worker, having a career spanning 40+ years with Centor (originally Owens-Illinois) in Berlin, OH. He also was simultaneously an entrepreneur owning and operating a local flooring business for 15 years. His greatest joy was being with his wife, children and grandchildren, who he adored.

            Tien was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, and cousin Tony Vu. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 44 years, Jayne Lê (Carillion), his siblings, Hương Thị Lê, Tín Điều Lê, Nu Lê, Hoa Lê, Van Thi Lê, Thuy Lê, Hung Lê, many cousins, his children, Robin Nguyen, Star Lê (Marc Nourafchan), Jade Lê (Anne Yoder), Hosanna Schoeppner (Lê) (Nick Schoeppner), and Sloan Lê (Amber Snell), and his grandchildren, Jake Belsaas, Elliott Belsaas, Pierce Nourafchan, Ruby Schoeppner, and Margot Schoeppner.

            The family will be holding a private ceremony next week with plans for a future celebration of life with date to be determined. Cards or gifts of condolences can be sent to 6241 Lake Cable Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44718.
