<p>Melva Kay Torix, age 72, of Muskogee was born August 3, 1949 in Mulberry, Arkansas to Melvin and Betty (Warren) Stout. She had a joyous reunion on November 16, 2021 Melva with her late husband Billy A. Torix, as well as her parents, Melvin and Betty Stout, brothers, Bill Lambert and Ronald Stout, mother &amp; father-n-law, LG and Margie Torix, Sisters n law Shirley Stewart &amp; Cynthia J. Holt and Brothers-n-law Raymond Torix and Ricky Torix. </p><p><br></p><p>Melva spent most of her life in the Muskogee area. Her first job was as a waitress for Mr. &amp; Mrs. Hamlin at Hamlin’s El Toro on the west side. Melva worked at the Big J store downtown until she took a job as a seamstress for a local mattress company, which came to be known as Kingsdown, and remained until retirement. She loved to travel and enjoyed blue grass and gospel music. Most of all Melva was dedicated to her family and spending every moment she could caring for and loving them. </p><p>Melva is survived by a daughter, Melissa Ballard of Muskogee; two grandsons, Logan Ballard of Muskogee, Dakota Ballard &amp; wife Charlee of Muskogee; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Liston, Jeter &amp; Carter; brother, Donald Stout &amp; wife Rita of Alma; two sisters, Lequeta &amp; husband Russell Becker of Alma and Sharrion Rogers of Alma</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, November 19, 2021 at Lescher-Millsap Chapel in Muskogee with her brother-in-law Russell Becker officiating. Burial will follow at the Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Service.</p>
