Charles R. Manuel

JEFFERSON – Charles R. Manuel, 72, of Shalom Drive, died at his home Friday morning, November 12, 2021, after a recent illness. Mr. Manuel was born in Sedro Woolley, Washington, on January 27, 1949, the son of Randolph and Harriet (Wigham) Manuel. For 43 years he was employed at the Groveton Paper Mill and in recent years worked for Santa’s Village in Jefferson. In the early 70’s he served with the US Army. Charles was a fan of NASCAR racing, the Red Sox, and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed antiques and collectables, particularly anything John Deere. He looked forward to his scriptures of the day on his phone and he loved watching his grandson’s baseball games and band concerts. Anything his grandkids and family were doing, he was there. Surviving family members include his wife Brenda (Ingerson) Manuel of Jefferson; his children Sheri Manuel, Mark Manuel, Christie Dupont (husband Joe), all of Jefferson, and Aaron Manuel of Grantham, NH; seven grandchildren Sheridan, Dakota, Joshua, Josiah, Kara Rose, Noah, Lucas; he also leaves behind his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lloyd and Kim Ingerson and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, November 20th, at 1:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Burial with military honors will follow in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Reverend Susan Blodgett of Maine will officiate.
