Proverbs 31:31</p><p><br></p><p>It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Alma Grace Tippett; mother, grandmother, sister, and much loved friend. We find comfort in knowing that she passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Bonavista, NL, at the age of 90 years. Born to Hubert and Bessie Whiffen in 1931, Alma was the youngest of her two sisters, Kathleen, and Beryl. in 1953 Alma married her dear husband and true love, Maxwell Tippett. It was in May of 1954 that they welcomed their first child, Murray. Alma was a lifetime member of the United Church Women. She also spent many years as a teacher and she truly had a passion for helping her students learn. She was such a kind, and caring lady who shared her love with everyone around her. She truly had a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. Alma is survived by her son; Murray, her sister; Kathleen, her sister in law; Doris, her two grandsons; David (Johanna) and Shawn (Corinna) as well as her three great- grandchildren; Keaton, Savannah and Cameron. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Bessie and Hubert Whiffen, her sister; Beryl and her dear husband; Maxwell Tippett. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and forever dear. </p>
