<p>Kenneth Charles Malleck, age 91, of McCook, NE passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.</p> <p>Kenny was born March 30, 1932 to Charles and Lorene (Weskamp) Malleck in Indianola, NE where he attended country school through the second grade. The family moved to Champion, NE in 1937 where they lived for the next nine years. They then moved back to the family farm north of McCook and Kenny, at the age of 16, drove the Red Willow school bus until graduating from Red Willow High School in 1947. Following high school, Kenny worked for &ldquo;Squeaky&rdquo; Shalm and Don Hileman at the Ford garage for two years and then Ray Nickerson&lsquo;s Conoco Station on Norris Avenue.</p> <p>Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, spending two years in Korea from 1951-1953.</p> <p>Kenny married Nita (Greenlee) Malleck in 1954. To this union four children were born. During this time, Kenny worked for Gamble Robinson (Loop Brewery) for three years before purchasing the K&amp;K Transfer Truck Line with Keith Loper in 1960/61.&nbsp; His next job was with Standard Oil, which is now Amoco Oil. Kenneth was the owner of Malleck Oil for over 50 years, with the help of his sons Scott and Sam and wife Nita.</p> <p>Kenny&rsquo;s favorite past time was having family dinners at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. He loved watching his family playing baseball, football, and volleyball. He bowled on the local bowling team and enjoyed a good time with family and friends at Sarge&rsquo;s until he was no longer able to get there. Kenny coached the Colman Oil Woman&rsquo;s Softball Team to a championship in 1979.&nbsp; He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elk&rsquo;s Club, local VFW and St. Patrick&rsquo;s Catholic Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Darrell &ldquo;Dick&rdquo;, Robert and Burdette &ldquo;Archie&rdquo; Malleck; sister in law, Marge Malleck; and his son in law, Allan Otter.</p> <p>Survivors include his wife Nita Malleck of McCook; children, Jodi Otter of McCook, Scott (Deb) Malleck of McCook, Jan (Mike) Nitsch of Arapahoe, NE and Sam (Chantel) Malleck of McCook; brothers, Gene Malleck of McCook and Loyce (Marilyn) Malleck of Mesquite, NV; sisters-in-law Lois Malleck of Amarillo, TX, Marilyn Malleck of McCook and In Suk Malleck of Killeen, TX; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and lifelong friends.&nbsp;</p>

Kenneth Charles Malleck, age 91, of McCook, NE passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.

Kenny was born March 30, 1932 to Charles and Lorene (Weskamp) Malleck in Indianola, NE where he attended country school through the second grade. The family moved to Champion, NE in 1937 where they lived for the next nine years. Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, spending two years in Korea from 1951-1953.

Kenny married Nita (Greenlee) Malleck in 1954. To this union four children were born.
