Jennie Blea passed away on Nov. 14, 2021. At the age of 86. At the request of Jennie Blea, a private ceremony will be held. Jennie was born in Grand Island, NE on Nov. 2, 1935 to Mary (Picon) and Braulio Barron. She attended elementary and high school in Lexington, NE. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a CNA at Devonshire and later a school nurse assistant before she retired she was a caregiver for private individuals. She was married to Valentine “Shorty” Blea for 28 years, until his passing in 1994. Jennie lived in the Atwood community since 1969. Jennie was involved in many activities in the community but was most proud of being a VFW Women’s Auxillary #3541 member since 1967. Jennie is survived by her children Barbara Reyes, Joseph Reyes, James Reyes, Fabian Reyes, Peter Reyes, Paul Reyes, Patrick Blea, and Valentino Blea; 3 sisters, 2 brother-in-laws, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Braulio and Mary Barron, 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
