Gerrald "Keith" Fox Leesville, Louisiana Obituary

Gerrald "Keith" Fox

A funeral service for Gerrald “Keith” Fox will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Canaan Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Nolde officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 13th at Jeane’s Funeral Service from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Keith was born November 25, 1959, in Orange, Texas and passed away November 11, 2021, in Youngsville, Louisiana at the age of 61. He lived in Leesville most of his life. He worked as an insulator in Local 112 for the bigger part of two decades after he graduated from high school. After that, Keith worked for many years in construction building houses and working for Mastercraft Construction. He finished his career working for himself doing what he loved. There probably isn’t a building in Leesville that he hasn’t worked on at some point. Keith loved to be outdoors fishing, shooting guns, and gardening. He loved to grow things that he didn’t like to eat, so he gave away most of what he grew. More than anything, though, Keith loved spending time with his daughters and granddaughters. It wasn’t hard to see that they were his world. His granddaughters will tell you that he was the best grandfather, “top tier”, in the world, and he was. He was also the best father, brother, uncle, and friend, and these were the titles he cherished the most. Keith would give you the shirt off his back and his last dime if he thought you needed it. He was full of hilarious one-liners and could make you laugh without trying. He will be loved and missed forever by his family and all those who knew him. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose Fox and Johnnie Ray Smith Fox; brother, Curtis Jackson; and sister, Debi Stacey. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Bethany Theriot and husband Troy of Youngsville, LA and Brittany Gleason and husband Shane of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Macy Pago and Gracie Pago; brother, James “Butch” Fox and wife Janice of Anacoco, LA; sister, Pam Schulte of Simpson, LA; brother-in-law, Paul Stacey of Leesville, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Pallbearers will be Patrick Cart, Jason Degley, Chris Fox, John Fox, Joshua Degley, and Dalton Schulte. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Theriot, Shane Gleason, Pete Wilson, Paul Stacey, Jacob Cart, Seth Degley, Paul Kaiama, and Kyle Brack.
