Peggy Jane Bradshaw

Peggy Jane Bradshaw, 92, formerly of Shinnston passed away on November 8, 2021, after a brief illness in Marietta, GA. She was born September 20, 1929, in Wyatt WV to the late Chester M Cunningham and Elizabeth Sena Storey Cunningham. <br>She was preceded in death by her husband Robert M Bradshaw whom she married July 1, 1950, and two foster sisters Joan Vernon and Phyliss Young. <br>Mrs. Bradshaw is survived by her daughter Rebecca “Becky” Bradshaw of Marietta GA with whom she resided for the last 6 years and her son Robert “Bob” Bradshaw of Atlanta GA.<br>Peggy worked as a telephone operator at the Shinnston telephone office when Shinnston still had telephone operators instead of dial telephones. She also worked at the Lumberport Pharmacy. She grew up and spent most of her life living on a farm. Animals were her life. She spent her life loving, caring for and grieving for her animals big and small. She was a member of the Peora United Methodist Church. <br>Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Steve Roy will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Harrison County Humane Society at P.O. Box 4397 Clarksburg, WV 26302.
