Daniel W. McDonald

Daniel W. McDonald of Branford died Tuesday November 9, 2021at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan DiGiorgi McDonald. Dan was born December 18, 1955 in New Haven son of the late David R. and Shirley Faulkner McDonald. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Navy. He worked in many capacities at Branford Building Supplies for over 35 years. Dan is survived by his children, Jennifer (Thomas) Daniels of Deep River, Kristina (Branden) Cheesman of Clinton and Daniel W. McDonald, Jr. of Branford; his grandchildren, Vincent and James Daniels; his sisters, DeLynn (John) Gaston of New Port Richey, FL and Dawn (Tim) Smith of Penn Yan, NY, his brother-in-arms Larry Bianchi, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Friday November 12th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River Saturday November 13 at 10:00.
