Loran L. Meyer

<p><strong>Loran L. Meyer was born to George H. and Minnie C. (Baucke) Meyer on January 30, 1944 in the Pawnee County Hospital in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter&rsquo;s Lutheran Church which is located near Meyer/Baucke farm.&nbsp;&nbsp; Loran attended St. Peter&rsquo;s Parochial School through the eighth grade and graduated from Elk Creek High School in 1962.&nbsp; After graduation, Loran worked at Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh in maintenance until he retired.&nbsp; Loran loved the farm and enjoyed working God&rsquo;s land and taking care of livestock.</strong></p> <p><strong>Loran and Georgene (Brammann) were united in marriage on July 10, 1970 at St. Andrew&rsquo;s Catholic Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska.&nbsp; To this union four children were born.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Loran enjoyed farming, classic cars, sports, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.&nbsp; Everyone that knew Loran realized that he was a hard worker and was passionate about his farm.&nbsp; He will be remembered as a sweet, gentle and kind man.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>He passed away November 9, 2021 in Adams, Nebraska at the age of 77 years.</strong></p> <p><strong>Loran is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Georgene of Tecumseh, daughters, Angela Schmit and husband Dan of Pawnee City, Susan Frederick and husband Chris of Plattsmouth and Jennifer Lempka and husband Donovan of Lincoln, grandchildren, Craig Schmit and wife Ali, Kellie Mallam and husband Chris, Nathan Frederick, Lauren Lempka and Aleah Lempka, great-grandchildren, Haley Schmit, Taya Schmit and Adalynn Mallam, sisters, Bernice Rasa and husband Robert of Lexington, MO and Elizabeth Longan and husband Robert of Stigler, OK, sister-in-law, Marie Burke and husband Michael of Omaha and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</strong></p> <p><strong>He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie, parents-in-law, George and Mary Jean Brammann, son, Steven Lynn Meyer (Nov. 12, 2008), granddaughter, Brianna Lynn Lempka (March 20, 2012) and sisters and brothers-in-law, Luetta and Wilbur Hitzeman, Leola and Eugene Bartels and Bernitta and Otto Finke.&nbsp;</strong><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the St. Peter&rsquo;s Lutheran Church, rural Elk Creek, Nebraska with Rev. Loran L. Meyer was born to George H. and Minnie C. (Baucke) Meyer on January 30, 1944 in the Pawnee County Hospital in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church which is located near Meyer/Baucke farm.   Loran attended St. Peter’s Parochial School through the eighth grade and graduated from Elk Creek High School in 1962.  After graduation, Loran worked at Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh in maintenance until he retired.  Loran loved the farm and enjoyed working God’s land and taking care of livestock.
