Joyce Batten Lee,72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday November 10, 2021 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Rudy Woods officiating. You may come by Citty Funeral Home 8:00 AM till 6:00 Pm Tuesday November 9, 2021 to show your respects. Joyce was the daughter of the late Raymond and Verna Elmore Batten and had lived in Reidsville most of her life.  She worked as a caregiver, also at Walmart and Banknote.  She was a member of Oasis Baptist Church in Madison. She enjoyed getting together with friends to go out to eat. She loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. She and her late husband loved her church family and appreciated the kindness that was shown to them. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years Robert Hamilton Lee who died thirteen months ago, and by her brother Steve Batten. Surviving are her sons; Michael Lynn Brewer (Laura) and Robert H. Lee Jr. both of Reidsville , daughter; Deborah Brengle Kassebaum (Steven) of Sophia, sister; Linda Hall, brothers; Ronnie Batten, James Batten and Raymond Batten, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
