Darlene Mary Staub, age 54, passed away November 4, 2021. She was a resident of Long Beach, MS.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Karl Staub; her son Ptolemy; her dad Arc Angel (DiDi); and her sister Rhonda.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores Metrando; her daughter, Athena Staub; her animals, Rocky, Tina, and Rebel Staub. Her sister, Holly Pontefract (Rob); her brothers, Joey Metrando (Michelle); Charles “Mikey” Metrando (Bridgette), Jason Metrando (Sandy); nieces and nephews, Zackery Pontefract, Armando Metrando, Sarah Metrando, Sam Antha Mackiewicz, Justin Metando, Amanda Metrando, Joey Metrando, Tanya Metrado, Josh Metrando and many others. Her fur baby nieces and nephews,  Ambrose Pontefract, Cowboy and Gypsey Metrando. Her loving fur grandchildren, Queenie Staub, Gizmo Staub, Bugsey Staub, Sprinkles Staub, Scooby Staub, and Monte Staub.

Darlene was a native of Poughkeepsie, New York. She attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Dutchess Community College for a year.

While here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Darlene worked distributing supplies for Memorial Hospital. She also had many interests and hobbies outside of work, which included watching Hallmark movies, swimming, walking, spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed helping the kids out that needed Christmas gifts. Darlene loved life and helping others.

Thank you for coming to my mom’s funeral, she will always be loved and missed. After the funeral we will have a get together at the VFW in Long Beach, MS for everyone.
