<p>Marshall “George” M. Dyer, Jr., 59, of New Martinsville, WV went to be with his Savior on Friday, November 5, 2021 while at Ruby Memorial.</p><p><br></p><p>George was born July 4, 1962 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Marshall M. and Ida Mae (Longwell) Dyer, Sr.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a 1982 graduate of Magnolia High School, while at Magnolia he played his favorite sport – basketball. His kids and grandkids was his passion. George enjoyed helping to coach them in baseball, softball, Charlie Morris Basketball and football. He served as the Director of the Jr. Football League and Baseball League. George was a big fan of Magnolia sports, WVU football and Pittsburgh Steelers. He worked in the body department for the former Bridgeman Bros. and later opened his own auto body shop called Dyer’s Body Shop. He was baptized this past Tuesday.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeannie Eddy and Marsha Berisford; brother, Ronnie Dyer and nephew, Pete Huggins.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are his three children, Jeffery (Krystin) Dyer of New Martinsville, WV, Jayma (Dustin) Carvoo of New Martinsville, WV and Julie Dyer of Wheeling, WV; six siblings, Carl (Patty) Dyer of Winter Haven, FL, Janice (Fred) Doran of Byesville, OH, Alta (Jerry) Koerber of Paden City, WV, Patricia (Mark) Sands of New Martinsville, WV, Cindy (Danny) Hooper of Middlebourne, WV and Jackie (Dom) Garuccio of New Martinsville, WV; grandchildren, Connor, Jordyn, Tuckor and Brooke Dyer, Greg, Trey, Charlotte and Saul Moore and Taylar, Jenna and Reid Carvoo; brother-in-law, Nelson Eddy, New Martinsville, WV; sister-in-law, Della Dyer of Cambridge, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021 with Pastor Tim Anders officiating. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville.</p><p><br></p><p>The family hopes you will contribute, in memory of George, to the “George” Dyer Memorial Scholarship, %First Mutual, 610 N SR 2, New Martinsville, WV 26155.</p><p><br></p><p>In the words of Mark Sprouse “George was the very best.”</p>

George was born July 4, 1962 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Marshall M. and Ida Mae (Longwell) Dyer, Sr.
