Suzanne Marie Petruzates Obituary

Suzanne Marie Petruzates, 63, left for her forever home on October 29, 2021 at her home in Eagle River. With Sue was her husband Frank, who she had shared a total of 46 happy years together. Sue’s heart was in the farm where she and Frank lived. She loved to garden and care for her many pets throughout the years. Yankee, her Buckskin horse, dogs Woody and Bella are certain to miss Sue in the days to come. Some of Sue’s best times were spent at Joyce Lake with Frank, camping and dreaming of all they could do with the property. Friends all knew this was one of her happiest places to be. Sue’s love for the magnificence of God’s earth was radiated by her beautiful smile and gentle demeanor. Her faith was solid, and she shared that with many. Her positive attitude always made her a welcoming person to share some time with. Sue’s call to travel home came quickly. Her time to bid farewell to her loving Frank and many friends was not possible. Yet, all who are saddened can be assured that she is safe and free. Forever in her paradise that she believed in and spoke so highly of, her entire life. Sue is survived by her husband: Frank Petruzates; brothers: Kevin (Sheila) Widule of Rhinelander, Patrick (Barb) Widule of Ellsworth, WI, Mike (Kay) Widule of Eau Claire, WI, Lewis (Patty) Widule of Sugar Camp, David (Karen) Widule of Sugar Camp. Sue is also survived by Frank’s loving family, many lifelong friends and co-workers at the Vilas County Courthouse where she worked for almost 20 years. Sue was preceded in death by her parents: Louis and Dolores Widule. She was raised in Sugar Camp and spent a great deal of her younger years in the restaurant her parents built, and family still runs, The White Stag. Come to a celebration of Sue’s life - Saturday, November 13th at 2:00 pm at the Petruzates homestead in Eagle River. An outdoor service with fellowship and food will follow. Please plan on joining Frank and family.
