Vickie Lynn Edwards
<p>Vickie Lynn (Goodwin) Edwards, 59 of Morgantown, WV, formerly of Independence, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1962 in Morgantown, daughter of the late Lonnie Sharps and Willa Jean “Hartman” Goodwin. Vickie graduated from West Preston High School, Class of 1981 and attended WV Junior College. She enjoyed reading the bible, writing poems, playing games, doing arts and crafts and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Vickie is survived by her husband of thirty seven years, Tommy Lee Edwards Sr.; five children, Ashleigh Edwards and companion, Thomas Myers, James “Jamie” Edwards, Tommy Edwards Jr., Matthew Edwards, all of Morgantown and Krista Roscoe, Reedsville; three grandchildren, Maia Myers, Matthew Spahr and Matthew Edwards; two sibling, Tina M Roscoe and Danny, Masontown, Beth E Goodwin and companion, Casper Freeman, Newburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Vickie is preceded in death by one brother, Stevie Goodwin; stepfather, Clarence Goodwin. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 5:00 pm, with Pastor Tina Cartwright officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her Care Fund to help with unexpected expenses.
