<p>Marceille Delores McKay, born January 28, 1940, passed away into her Lord Jesus Christs embrace on October 29, 2021 surrounded by the loving warmth of her family at the Thompson General Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p>Marceille was born to Late Christine Blackie and Late George Astakeesic, both of Waywayseecappo First Nation.</p><p><br></p><p>Marceille is survived by her children, Annda Genaille, Shayne Lynxleg, Angela Cloud, Shyanna Lynxleg, Mervin Lynxleg, Shauna Beaudre, Honray McKay, Marcy Cooper. Marceille had a Granddaughter who she raised as her own, Emerald McKay became her Daughter of her Heart, there is no greater bond of love between a child and a mother than the one shared by Marceille and her daughter Emerald. Marceille is survived by numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and extended family members. Marceille is survived by her sister, Stella Bignell, Arlene Martin, Debra Mason, Brother Nathan Swain, Brother Meredith Astakeesic and pre-deceased by her Late Brother Wilfred Gartz, Late Brother Kelvin Astakeesic</p><p><br></p><p>Marceille shared a loving personal relationship with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and was a devout Christian until she entered heaven to be with her Lord. Marceille knew God chose her to be his voice and Marceilles faith in God showed when speaking God’s truth to her children, grandchildren and to the congregation at church with conviction and often in silent prayer.</p><p><br></p><p>Marceille loved her family, she also loved sewing , cooking special occasion dinners and helping the less fortunate, she enjoyed being outside and planting her flowers each year and was happiest when surrounded by family.</p><p><br></p><p>Marcy was married to Archie McKay on November 22, 1974, and would have been married 47 years this November 2021.</p><p><br></p><p>Marcy &amp; Archie were destined to be with one another, as they served God faithfully and loved one another joyously.</p><p><br></p>

Celebration of Life to be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. James Anglican Church in Thompson at 1:00pm, officiated by Oyvind Haukas. Interment to follow at the Thompson Cemetery. Please note, due to current Covid-19 restrictions, capacity is limited to 75 people, and proof of vaccination and photo ID is required.
