Lucille Elsie Simmons, age 93, passed away on October 26, in Rocklin, CA, surrounded by her loving family.  Lucille was born to Alvera (Luich) and Archie Kientz in Oakland, CA.  After high school, she married Harry Simmons and moved to San Francisco where they raised their 5 children; Gerald, Michael, Robert, Jeanne and Kevin.  Prior to Harry retiring, they lived in Boston for a short time where he did consulting work at a hospital while Lucille enjoyed the history and beauty of that area.  They also lived in Sonoma and Novato, making friends and memories along the way.  Harry and Lucille were married 51 years before his passing in 2009.  

Lucille was a wonderful mother, an amazing homemaker, excellent knitter, seamstress, and quilter.  She seemed the happiest hosting birthday parties, showers, and of course holidays.  Lucille enjoyed family vacations to Tahoe, many cruises on Princess, cheering on the San Francisco Giants, and shopping at Chicos!  One of her favorite past times was playing cards and games with her friends at the Pines, and especially teaching new card games to her great-grandchildren.  Lucille was a beautiful lady and the glue that held our family together, letting her love shine through with her kindness and generosity.  She will be greatly missed.

She is predeceased by her husband, Harry Simmons and her sister, Lorraine Baldi.

She is survived by her five children: Jerry (Linda); Mike (Kathy); Bob (Debbie); Jeanne (Raul); and Kevin; as well as 11 grandchildren: Dan (Hanna); Phil (Chloe); Kenny (Nina); Caity (Chase); Christy; Michael (Jessica); Raul (Alesha); Elisa (John); Joey; Brian; and Tara; 10 great grandchildren; her sister Gertrude Fernandes and numerous nieces and nephews.
