Doris Nickman, 87, of Pleasanton died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her home in Pleasanton. Services will be a 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pleasanton. Father Richard Piontkowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pleasanton. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Online condolences can be directed to www.rasmussenfh.com Doris Nickman was born November 26, 1933 in Hazard, Nebraska to Frederick and Beatrice (Zimmer) Rasmussen. She grew up in Hazard and graduated from Hazard High School. She married Byrle Asher and they later divorced. Doris married Robert “Bob” Nickman in 1966 and they made their home and farmed near Pleasanton. After Robert’s death she moved into Pleasanton. Doris was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the quilting circle and enjoyed quilting and gardening. Survivors include her children, Connie (Doug) Farritor-Rosse, Randy Asher, Mike Nickman, Pamela (Jim) Wetzel, Barbra (Doug) Mendyk and Carolyn (Paul) Trishman, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sister, Betty Zoucha. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, and siblings, Winona Zeller, Arlone Margritz, Wendell Rasmussen and Delores Wheeler.
