<p><span style="font-size:14px;">It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roy Nash, at the age of 61, at his home in North Harbour, St. Mary&rsquo;s Bay&nbsp;on Saturday, October 30, 2021.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">He is predeceased by his parents; Cyril and Isabella Nash,&nbsp;brothers; Raymond (Madeline-deceased) and Cyril, sister Margie (Jack Branning-deceased)&nbsp;and father-in-law Sebastain Walsh.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Leaving to mourn, his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Dolly (nee Walsh), his children; Suzanne (Derrick), Ryan (Stacey), Andrew (Dana), his two precious granddaughter&rsquo;s; Kate and Mylie, his mother-in-law Jose Walsh; sisters: Bernice (Ernest-deceased), Kathleen (Earl), Carol (Albert), Linda (Jerry), Lorna (Dermot), Isabelle (Bobby) and Eleanor (Frank),&nbsp;brothers: William (Agnes), Kenneth (Jackie) and&nbsp;Davey (Rita),&nbsp;brothers-in-law: Tony (Janet), Bob (Karen), Mike (Joanne), Jud (Sherry) and&nbsp;Ken (Denise), sister-in-law Joanne (Kenny),&nbsp;many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a large circle of friends, too many to mention. He was a friend to so many.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Dad was a lover of the country, who thoroughly enjoyed spending time hunting partridge and moose, cutting wood, salmon fishing, trouting, or just going for a walk in the ridge. His favourite place to be was in the woods and being with mom. They did everything and went everywhere together. He was involved in the fishery since he was 18 years old and either worked in the fish plant or on a fishing boat. He was such a hard worker and made sure he provided for his family even when times were hard.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Resting at Sacred Heart Church North Harbour, St. Mary&rsquo;s Bay. Public visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm, and Wednesday, November 3, 2021 1:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm. <strong>As per Covid-19 Restrictions, the Covid Passport (or proof of double vaccination) and a Photo ID will be required to attend the Visitation and Mass.</strong> The funeral service is by invitation only due to Covid-19 Restrictions. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church North Harbour, St. Mary&rsquo;s Bay on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">If friends so desire, donations in Roy&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Hebrew Proverb</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:14px;">&ldquo;<em><strong>Say not in grief &lsquo;he is no more&rsquo;</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><em><strong>but in thankfulness that he was.&rdquo;</strong></em></span></p>
