Alan W. Weaver

Alan Wayne Weaver, 60, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 in Soldotna from a stroke. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Mt. Redoubt Baptist Church in Nikiski. Alan wan born to Dick and Pat Weaver on Jan. 17, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas. He worked at Qwick Construction for 30 years until he had to go on disability with his bad back problems. Alan enjoyed snowmachining, skiing, hunting, working on vehicles, but his favorite would have been golf. Back in the day when he could still play, there’s no telling how many rounds he played with his brothers, Derrell, Rusty and Mike at Birch Ridge Golf Course. His wife wrote, “Alan was the love of my life. I met him the first day I cam to Alaska in 1973, when we were both 12 years old. I will love you until the good Lord brings me home to be with you..Love you, Nan.” Alan was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Alan Weaver, parents, Dick and Pat Weaver, brother, Rusty Weaver, nephew, Justin Weaver, uncle Butch Butler, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Norma White, sisters-in-law, Tracy White, Rebecca Hanson, and Debbie White, and brother-in-law, Lonnie White. He is survived by his wife, Nan Weaver; daughter, Christy Weaver, both of Nikiski; brothers and sister-in-law, Derrill and Patty Weaver of Arizona; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tanna and Mike Chenault of Nikiski, Sherry and Cliff Soares of Las Vegas; brothers-in-law, Rob White of Nikiski and Tommy Hanson of Soldotna; aunt, Kay Butler; cousin, Mac Butler, both of Las Vegas; many nieces and nephews; and close friends, Joel and Doug Brewer, Jr.. Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
