<p>Patricia Quave, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on the morning of October 16, 2021. She was born in Hattiesburg, MS on June 29, 1933.</p><p><br></p><p>She received her Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude, in 1955 from William Carey College. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree from USM in 1960.</p><p><br></p><p>She touched countless lives in her role as Teacher and Principal. She was respected and loved by many for her true commitment to better the lives of those around her, especially the children she served daily.</p><p><br></p><p>Her favorite role; however, was Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She and her husband, Tony shared a special bond of love that was extraordinary and felt by all that knew them. Her love for her grandchildren, Jordan and Lily was immense and her favorite topic of conversation. </p><p><br></p><p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Thomas Barr; her sisters, Sybil Thompson, Ouida Raddin; nephews, Craig Thompson and Phil Raddin. She is survived by her beloved husband, Norbert (Tony) Quave; her daughter, Dawn (Ben) McKenzie; Grandchildren, Jordan Holliman and Lily McKenzie; Sister, Sue Jones (Jim); Nieces, Jennifer Stone and Jill Thompson and Susie Bryant; Nephews, Paul Raddin, Mark Jones, Mike Jones, and Kirk Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>Special thanks to the Staff of Notre Dame Hospice and the Lighthouse Memory Care.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life will be held at a later date.</p>
