James Ronald Brown

Mr. James Ronald Brown was born on August 12, 1957, in Claxton, Georgia to the parentage of the late Samuel Walker Bacon and Mamie Brown Bacon. James, affectionately called by his family, Ronald, was the third oldest of ten children. His eternal rest began on October 22, 2021. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elizabeth Bacon and Judy Diane Brown Mays. Ronald confessed faith in Christ at an early age and became a member of the Healing Temple Church. One of his favorite bible passages came from Psalm 23. It profoundly states, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want..." Ronald grew up in Claxton, Georgia and was educated in the Evans County School System. In 1975, he graduated from Claxton High School where he was known for his speed and endurance on the track, which contributed to his nick name "Bull dozer". After graduating from high school, Ronald relocated for a short period to New Jersey. Due to his love of family and friends, he returned home. Ronald had many talents but found he loved working with his hands more than anything else. He enjoyed cooking, painting, and detailing vehicles. These passions were reflective in his career choices where he served as a professional painter, customer service agent with Ford Motor Company, and seasonal employee at Claxton Bakery. He also enjoyed cooking for and spending time with his family and friends. As a free spirited individual, Ronald did not worry about societal norms. He could converse with anyone despite the subject. Ronald was kind, funny and always followed the direction of his heart. Ronald leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish may fond memories: Special friend, Ms. Bertha Lundy; two sons: James Cody (Carmen) Mills and Toran Tajuan Brown; two brother: Pastor Raymond (Shirley) Williams and Carey (Wanza) Bacon; two sisters: Deloris (Albert) Walden and Philiacrecia (Nathaniel) Moore, Samantha Newman; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; Ronald also leaves a special group of friends to cherish loving memories: Derrick Blitch, Hubert Donaldson, Anthony Goodman, Bruce Green, Lacy Hills, jr, Patrick Hodges, Gary Holland, Jermaine Holland, Michael Johnston, Daryl Ponder, and Stanley Tompkins.
