Darrell Bryon Chastain, 51, of Springfield, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 in Crest Hill, Illinois. Darrell was born on February 17, 1966 in Springfield, the son of Darrell and Julia Ann Kish Chastain. Darrel went to Lanphier High School and worked as a mechanic. He loved to fix things up, especially for his mother, and was known to be a very caring, considerate, and happy man. Darrell was a loving brother, uncle and nephew, and loved his family dearly. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Dara Chastain of Glen Allen, VA; nieces, Clarissa (fianc, Blair Carter) Hampton and Amber Hampton; nephews, Caleb Hampton and Ethan Hampton; great-niece and nephew, Lennon Hampton and Isla Carter; aunt, Cindy Dobey (husband, Richard) of Greenview, IL; and uncles, Robert Lee Ruble of Springfield, Bob Clark of Springfield, Dennis "Chick" Chastain of Littleton, Colorado, and Gary Chastain of Spaulding, IL. Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society. The family will host a Celebration of Life for Julia Ann Chastain and Darrell Bryon Chastain on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at 29721 Middletown Blacktop Ave., Greenview, IL 62642.
