Earnestine Dumas departed this life Sunday, October 24th, 2021 at the age of 69. Born November 14th, 1951 to the parentage of the late Christine Davis & Elmore Gamble. She confessed to Christ at an early age & joined New Hope No.1 Baptist Church in Thomasville, AL.

She was joined in marriage with James Dumas, who preceded her in transition, and she later joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Nicholsville, AL where she was a very active member. She would later go on to move her membership to Antioch AME Church in Gainestown, AL, where she remained a very active member until her untimely death.

Also preceding her in transition were her firstborn baby girl, Mothers-In-Law - Neicyee A. Dumas & Carrie L. Washington, Father-In-Law - Johnnie Dumas,Sr & McNeal Washington, Siblings - Tyrone Davis & Bonita Holt, Sister-In-Law - Pearlie & Shirley Ann Dumas, Brother-In-Law - Johnnie Dumas, Jr, Devoted Niece - Makeshia Dumas, Devoted Nephews - Asie & Pierre Washington, & Special Friend - Libby Williams.

She leaves to forever cherish her loving memories her Common-Law-Husband, Martin Luther Washington; Children - Jessica “Finley” Fox, Christopher “Heather” Dumas (Kentucky), Catlin “Courtney” Jackson; Grandchildren - LaDerius “Andrea” Dumas (Tuscaloosa), Akeya “Antonio Davis” Dumas (Fulton), Courtney “Terrinikia Victor” Smith (Monroeville), Kourtney “Samuel” Watso (Kentucky), Nathanyal Burgess (Kentucky), Tia Fox (Jackson), Tiara “Martin” Matthews (Florida), Mariah Lawson and Jailah Jackson (Gainestown); Brothers - Anthony “Patricia” Grayson (Thomasville), Winfred “Keisha” Holt (Jackson) and William “Bettye” Holt (Elba); Uncles - Willie James Grayson (Thomasville); Aunts -Wanda White (Thomasville), Shirley Carnegie (New Jersey), Arleaner McSween (New Jersey), Daisy Adams (Ohio), and Jeraldine Phillips (Mobile); Sisters & Brothers-In-Love - Thelma Washington, Earnest “Luvern Williams” Washington, Carrie “Kenneth Johnson” Washington, Wendy “Stacy Jackson” Washington, Anita “Robert Williams” Washington, Arthur “Van Lee Williams” Washington, Mildred “Tracy” Williams, Lendon “Sarah Williams” Washington, Vickie Washington, Marsha Washington, Victoria “Jerome Williams” Washington all of Gainestown, AL and Terette “Asie Pritchett” Washington (Walker Springs), & Sharon Napier (Silas).
