Pauline M. Horning
STOW - Pauline M. “Poppy" Horning, 94, passed away peacefully at home, October 26, 2021. Born in North Vassalboro, ME, she was a resident of Stow since 1962. Pauline had been employed with the National Institute of Technology as an administrative assistant, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Pauline enjoyed crocheting and donated many of her handmade afghans to Harvest for Hunger Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Horning; daughter, Carolyn Horning; grandson, Jamie Bernadine; brothers, Adin Johnson, Jr., and Thomas Johnson; and sisters, Sarah Bowen and Francis Craft. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Pamela) Horning, Duane (Darlene) Horning, and Gene Nibling; daughter, Jo-Ann McNeil; grandchildren, Richard McNeil, Jennifer (Bill) Angerstien, Amy (Jerimiah) Chasse, Jamie Nibling, Joshua and Jacob Horning; as well as five great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where Fr. Paul Rosing will conduct service Monday 11 AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff from Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care and extraordinary service.
