Mrs. Mary Alvita Smith, 48, of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at her home. She was born on November 26, 1972 in Watertown, New York to the late Gordan Noah Woodard and Carolyn Bigelow. Mary attended Holy Infant Catholic Church in Reidsville and was a CNA for over 30 years. She loved to engage people on Twitter, discuss politics, and watch Chef Gordon Ramsey. Mary enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family, who were her life. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her loving husband of many years, Michael Smith of the home; her daughter, Cassondra “Cassie” Smith of Thomasville; four brothers, Angelo “Chubber” Woodard and wife Christine, “Tiger” of Florida, Gordan Scott Woodard and wife, Nikki of New York, Clifford George Woodard and his wife Lori, of New York, and Gordan Noah “Butch” Woodard, of Florida; two sisters, Tina Marie McCleland and her husband Donald, of Atlanta, and April Lloyd Davis and her husband Dale, of New York; best friend, Vicky Pritty of New York; and many loving nieces and nephews.
